Dalit movement in India ( दलित आन्दोलन)

Dalit Movement in India started by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar (Bheemrao Ramji Ambedkar) in 1956. Dr. Bheemrao Ambedkar was born 14 April 1891 in Dalit family, at the time of British rule in India. He faced much social discrimination in society after studied in foreign he became the leader of Dalit. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Dalit Movement in India also known as Dalit Buddhist Movement. In 1935 Dr. Ambedkar decided to convert from Hinduism to Buddhism. After learning of Buddhism he derives Navayana that is well known as Bheemyana adopted by Dr. Bheemrao Ambedkar along with his millions of followers before his death on 6 December 1956. It was the protest against Hindu social discrimination.  In independent India, Dr. Ambedkar became first law minister of India, he was an Indian economist, jurist, politician  and social the reformer also supporting rights of women and labour.
